People in close proximity with animals causes the mutation of pathogens which humans contract and then humans pass them to each other. I never worry but this has been a bad year already around here. A lot of children and old people have died from different pneumonias and hospitals are all full already. We don't need a new virus.
That fish market looks pretty cool. Bet it smells nice. Just 200 people got it in China and 6 died? Yeah.

SARS was a bit of a fuckup in the first few months, partly because outbreaks of contagions were considered a national secret. I'm not sure why it was a national secret, maybe that goes back to the biological warfare agents like cholera & the black plague released on the Chinese by the Japs in WWII &/or the black plague bombs dropped on them by the Americans during the Korean war.
It's been 2 weeks & they've identified the source (apparently the same fruit bat that spawned SARS) & are cooperating with WHO & other countries to contain it. I dunno how you could consider this crisis any kind of cover up. It's nothing like Flight 655, the "war on terror" in Afghanistan, the Epstein "suicide" or the CIA & DoD supporting Islamist terries in Syria...etc.

It was partly due to such outbreaks being deemed a national security matter at the time & the classified info wasn't able to be shared where it was needed. In the end 774 people died from SARS.
