Why School is Fucked

this starts off with such complete shit i don't think it's even worth the remaining 5 minutes.

school wasn't begun for any of the reasons started in the video. it was started first as a means to end child labor, and second as a means to affect social mobility. in the days before school kids worked on their families' farms, and when industrialization came around, that transitioned into kids working in factories, usually as helpers carrying tools or occasionally to do some work in tight spaces adults couldn't fit into. when we as a society realized child labor was crappy, we realized that also meant we had to give them skills so they could have skillsets to sell that were more valuable than fetching wrenches and carrying rivets. from there, the following generation of children had actual opportunity to improve their lives, beyond what labor or carrying on whatever their father's trade was.

You don't know a god damned thing. You havent read the archetects of this system; the fact Prussia was overrun by Napoleon and it's liberal free culture was a huge liability as the troops were unable to move as a cohesive unit and were overrun by the disciplined and conscripted/ well trained french. THAT was the foundation of our current "cogs in a machine system" .Youre spouting off the same fucking lie these same schools taught you and not even watching because it offends your preconcieved programming. This man John Taylor Gatto; if you had the intelligence to lisen, has laid out every fucking source in his detailed history of the world. If youre unable to even watch a few minutes youre fucking retarded and i mean that in the traditional mechanical sense of a dirty engine unable to fire on all cylinders. Clean your mind youre better than that

well i know enough history to know that that's also just complete bs. napoleon's success had nothing to do with school, historians agree that it was his strategy and tactics, and he was also defetaed by superior tactics, again nothing to do with school. anyway schooling began in europe more than 200 years before napoleon and the changed to the current model more than 100 years after he died. preconceived programming? perhaps at school you've heard the expression "the pot calling the kettle black"? i'm perfectly able to watch a video, it's just a waste of time to watch a bunch of poorly conceived suppositions. i could quote a source about the moon being made of cheese, but that wouldn't make it true.

While true the clip paints schools only in the negative. In the control system. If the system in which the school is has atleast a little freedom or aspirations beyond control then it works using the same methods for getting different results. Ours isn't a fully free society though Finland tries which is why I'm certain of this. Ours is mostly a consumerist system. Authorities are marketers and the governments that serve them. In previous ages it was only governments or religions which employed these teaching methods.

The reproduction part seems wrong. The dumb or the 'unhygienic' breed more than the succesfull ones and in ways that prevent them from gaining any level of social cohesion. This is as intended as well as you don't want too many capable people but lots of workers/consumers/soldiers. The way societies try to increase freedom in this regard is early sex ed, free condoms, easy access to healthcare, etc. Can't really do anything about the basic drive to breed.

Part of the childish attitude is blaming others for your own failures. This ofcourse works for the division plans as the childish individuals quick to blame others for their lack rarely do anything to change their situation because of their childlike mentality. They need others to lead them to 'proper action' just like children need to be distracted when they get fuzzy.

You CAN do something to affect their will to breed! Especially in women and young girls who's attraction is based on the mans ability to PROVIDE security and safety (especially within the group/status) If a young man is ostracized for his independent intelligence (ability to lean on critical thought rather than memorization and repetetition) the teachers ostracize him and the girls see breeding with him as a liability.

The FULL title or Darwins "Origins of Species" book is "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life"

I seriously recommend yall listen to more John Taylor Gatto. All those "teacher goes to the hood and raises up ghetto youth" movies from the 80's and 90's are based on him

Also back to Sato, your reaction was no different than the red shirt feminist https://www.spikednation.com/videos/actors-cold-read-facts-feminism

yeah i'm getting the same impression, that andrew had a bad time in school and wants someone else to be responsible.

andrew you're doing exactly what you've claimed i've done - you've decided that whatever this guy says is true because you want it to be true. he might have some good points but his reasoning is based on faulty assumptions. he advocates homeschooling for example, completely ignoring that we used to all homeschool our kids and it was terrible, which is why we switched to the current model which is much better.

try reading what others have to say on education to give yourself a balanced view, and then think about what makes the most sense. maybe look into the history surrounding the industrial revolution and the end of child labor for starters.

i'm not saying school is currently great, i don't agree with rote memorization either (though in some industries they do want their future employees to have a lot of stuff memorized rote, so we can't cut it out completely or we'd be hurting those kids and those industries) but that doesn't mean the reasons given are accurate. societies needed kids to learn skills, and parents needed their children to have access to a wide variety of skills, which is why we have the school we have now.
