Wait so are there no ads? So the only way content creators can make money is by charging users for views or hoping for tips? If that's the case I don't see it taking off - I'm not paying to watch vids on youtube but I'll happily but up with an ad or two (not the shitstorm of ads that has overtaken youtube vids).

Just tried it. Not enough content. Can't list the search results by date. Takes 5-10 seconds to start playing a video. Pewdiepie has 1 video on it which he uploaded 2 years ago. Has a long way to go. >sudo apt autoremove lbry
it's a great concept but the interface lacks some basics like view counts on videos, better search options, a volume (it only has a mute button), and a bunch more things.
