I forgot to add a potential for repair or recycle!
This is not what I have in mind when I want an electric car, tesla design is way better as far as repair or recycling goes but of course there are other reasons not to buy one of those too.

Your tesla can not only be updated but certain functions can be en- or disabled (probably the whole car) remotely by tesla, including for example battery capacity (yes, the battery and electronics are all the same but if you want to use full capacity you have to pay) or fast charging, without the owner's consent, other manufacturers go down the same route btw, they put in all the features in all the cars but you have to pay to get them enabled.
