Apparently during this visit he brought 1000's of lbs of documents that had all the dirt on the Vatican and pried it's leverage off the Republic.
There is a whole storyline that connects a bunch of dots between this event and a number of things that happened across several other blackmailing nations, where important documents and treaties were seized from Saudi Arabia, London, and Vatican city that stole the Republic from the American people and gave it to the world bank long ago.
Whether or not that is true is not verifiable at this time. But it's a nice thought.
Realisticly, whatever happens going forward it's up to the citizens now.
