Even whwn the battery is out of the vehicle dismantling it is a nightmare.
Renault was pioneering easy replaceable batteries in the early days of EV's. This unfortunately disappeared when range increased.
Apple used quality and safety excuses from day 1 to keep people from repairing or buying unlicensed accessories, I never have and would never buy an apple product.
Tesla and BMW go a similar direction by installing extras like seat heating in all models and when you pay for it it is electronically released, tesla can even switch off fast charging if they detect "unauthorised repair". All of which I find absolutely unacceptable.
