Headscarves aren't illegal in Xinjiang & the sign doesn't warn against them as the video says. Covering your face is banned, just like in France & other places.
They're not getting rid of the religion. They're cracking down on extremism, incl Islamic fundamentalism.
The 2nd video is just weird. They make no mention of consulting the authorities to find her. They say they went to 1 town to try & find her but ended up going for dinner instead...?
