was interested so took a look at the report. it's really badly skewed and bases conclusion on logical fallacies. to give an example they claim the left and right are equally represented on youtube based on page views and hours watched - which are both beside the point. the question is how many conservative videos are being censored, which they don't attempt to answer.
quote from the report: "Pinning down precise proportions (of conservatives banned vs liberals banned) is impossible because Twitter doesn’t release sufficient data." yet they conclude that conservatives aren't being censored more anyway. they also say bans are based on rule breakers rather than whether the breaker in conservative or liberal, but do not investigate at all whether those rules are biased one way or another or not. just ridiculous to conclude without even looking into exactly what you're concluding on.

To your first statement, the conservatives state their channel is flagged and ripped down, they have to contest it (plenty of videos out there confirming with time stamps and history usage), after getting the mistake reversed, they lose viewers and content rapidly even when their channel is brought back online, their videos may be blocked, demonitized or just loss in viewership. While I would agree this has to happen on both sides, it seems like it is strange that it is more on the conservative channels.
Best most recent example is when facebook killed Crowder's live stream. Which they are now sueing for.

No reason given, as far as I know. Not sure if others were dropped too, or if he was singled out. He says he was singled out, he lost thousands of viewers during the "time out". The same is said for when they take down videos, but then say it was a mistake and put it back up, when they do that, they make you do it so you lose all the views stiffiling the algorithm from making the video viral.
That is what they say, I don't know much about it, and frankly don't care that much. I did take a look a bitchute though and was pretty shocked at the racist comments / video and the sheer abundance on that site. That is supposed to be the new youtube? Don't think it will compete well with that kind of content. I understand that isn't the only thing on their but the homepage on the day I checked it out, left a bad taste in my mouth. So, I haven't gone back.

Happened to Thunderf00t too various times, also there are 0 search results for his videos on google, he is not a right winger.
In the end I think the political right is hit harder by this on a general basis is bullshit, they just produce more "fake news" and "alternative facts" that qualify their shit to be taken down.

Not sure what the answer is. I don't think they should be alowed to censor. Publisher or Platform, pick one.
But, at the same time, when I go look at alternatives like bitchute I see why a line needs to be drawn in the sand somewhere... I'd love an alternative to youtube/twitter/etc/etc, but so far the alternatives suck....
