Made it to 6:49. The guy seems quite smart but maybe not smart enough to know that he should not continue in the conversation with the professor or maybe he's just looking for a good YT video.

Later on in the video you find out that the student is trying to prepare his debate topic, and the teacher won't qualify him to compete because the subject matter doesn't advertise the prof's world view.
The prof even goes far as to state that "Debate is bad" because it penetrates the arguement of the opponent which he compares to sexual assault. And even accuses this guy of sexually assaulting him with said arguements.
He filed a complaint with the dean using the video evidence as the basis for his grievence. It's been months already with no actions taken. Since then he has dropped the class and posted the video.

was thinking straight away wow he sounds like one of those post-modernism quacks... and then he said "huge criticism of modernity" and that says it right there.
it's not just that the teacher wants to advertise his world view, in post-modernism quackery his world view is correct by definition - seeing the world a certain way makes it that way in reality.
