I'm all for pulling our troops out of South Korea. They seem to be for it if it brings Kim out to not threaten them. If Kim attacks them, fuck em. Fewer military expenditures, more jobs for American workers if they get housed, and Koreans decide what happens to Korea. WIN-WIN-WIN.

Everybody is still second guessing what actually was discussed in the meeting as the only thing that came out was self praise and showing off the love of each other (no homo).
From experience we can say that the opinions and statements of both are short lived to a comical extent, so we'll have to wait and see what (if anything) is actually coming out of this.
IMHO the NK nuclear programme was wiped out before the meeting anyway so "agreement" on this was only for bad hair guy 1 to save face before the home crowd and for bad hair guy 2 to have some more propaganda for the fanboys.

The biggest immediate thing that came from the summit is probably the admition from Trump that the military drills are provocative, with a voiced commitment to putting them on hold.
They signed a statement with 4 goals, one of which is denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula...
The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new US-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.
The United States and DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.
The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.
I don't know how detractors can say that this is somehow meaningless. It's the closest the 2 regimes have ever been and it went off without a hitch. It's helped the chances of the Koreas signing a peace treaty which is one of the ultimate aims.

Did you read the text of the Panmunjom Declaration?
Have you been noticing how Koreas have been meeting & cooperating in the past couple of months? Anything they do has to be signed off by US & China & Trump just formally endorsed the process. If you pay attention to any US media on the subect you're just going to get confused IMO. Just notice the tangible steps that are being taken:
- US president meets with NK leader, doesn't lecture hypocritical human rights bullshit, NK leader invited to Washington, praised (undoing some of the stupid comments by Bolton/Pence)
- US,NK formalise a cooperation agreement, open dialogue channels, endorse NK-SK cooperation arrangements
- NK good-will gestures are returned with US good will gesture noted in point 4.
