not that it will matter in the long run, but spotify's market value has dropped over 2 billion, 6 or 7% since they removed neil

the shitlibs have been out in force trying to get spotify to buckle by lobbying other artists.
the drop in value is likely due to the anticipation of more artists joining a boycott, spurred on also by establishment media which is gonna go after Rogan any chance they get, simply for eating into their market share & narrative control capability.
I find this all pretty funny that a self-admitted knucklehead has the biggest platform.

I like the angle you raise on establishment media going after him as I hadn't considered it. But the subsequent video you posted shows that Rogan and Spotify are adapting. As for his being a knucklehead, they might want to add his weed supplier as an advertised sponsor at the front of the broadcast, as I'm pretty his laidback attitude during most interviews is also part of the appeal.

Yeah I agree with what you said there & think this apology could calm things down a bit - it gives musicians who are under pressure to boycott a bit of an out & also gives the media something to focus on instead of building up more pressure by just reporting on musicians who're jumping off. It's likely Rogan was coached a bit on what to say, he hit a bunch of 'corporate apology' notes but also came across as quite human. Pretty well done I'd say. Personally I hope this breaks Spotify, I don't like the platform lol.

Does it matter now? The damage is done. Just look at the first comment on the video you mentioned. This is the mindset the sane part of the population has to deal with.

"The corporate press gets a free pass despite being wrong more often."
technically this is true isn't it?
Rogan has a weekly podcast of about 2-3 hours whereas corporate media has multiple channels on 24 hours per day all week. Then there's the online articles too.

Yeah, well, fortunately there are still a few of us willing to dedicate a few minutes here or there to try and keep them honest. Normally I'd refer us back to the futility of casting pearls before swine as the old addage goes, but as we've mentioned before, in this case folks ignorance is not just getting them killed. I had it pointed out to me just the other day, that whenever people say the virus only kills sick or vulnuerable, or immunocompromised individuals, this is hypocrisy. If they have kids, they should know that their wife/partner was technically sick, vulnerable and definitely immunocompromised for the duration of her pregnancy. And for those who don't have kids.. maybe they had a mother.
