at the start of march, the 2nd or 3rd. the head of the dpr militia said mariupol was completly surrounded. the next day. ukranians said they were cut off. the maps show red around the city and the people aren't fish. they've been trying to get russia to agree on an evactuation corridor. if there is was a way out, you wouldnt have to ask for one

no, Russia has been trying to organize human corridors in the past few weeks but in Kharkov & Mariupol especially there's a lot of resistance from the Ukrainian side - Kyiv not having proper control of the military is part of the problem. The Ukraine military/militants know that once civilians are out the Russians can be less careful with their artillery. I fucking hate the term "human shields" because it's been abused so much by Zionists but there has been this going on there with countless witnesses testifying to it. Here are some of the ones just from Mariupol that have been interviewed recently, you'll never see this on western media:
There's interviews with Indian students who were trapped in Kharkov somewhere too but I can't be assed finding them. Loads of people testify to how the local militants would shoot at them as they tried to leave.
The overall picture I've seen is that local forces don't want the civilians to leave & have been super uncooperative with Russia in organizing the humanitarian corridors / "regime of silence". Russian MoD complains about it every day & gives details of what's going on. There's accusations on both sides but you can see by the numbers of people who leave when an area's under either Ukrainian or Russian control to see who's lying. Civilians being in the warzone doesn't help Russia, it helps the information war of the Ukraine side only, and offers some military advantages to them.
