Always makes me mad when people don't ask whether or not they can touch any dog, even worse with working dogs (here in training).

I long ago stopped being polite about it.

Service or aid dogs are working dogs, they should not be distracted, especially when in training, otherwise they may divert from their task in situations where it is undesireable.

Like anything else it's just an excuse for people to act like cunts.  In this case the lady with the dog was acting like an entitled cunt by aggressively telling someone who honestly didn't know not to touch her shit because she knew she ranked higher in the victim olympics due to her disablity.  The single mother who's holding her kid was acting like a cunt because she's used to exploiting her single mother victim status to get what she wants.

That being said, if my boys made an honest mistake in petting a "service dog" because they aren't old enough to read a sign and some cunt "service dog" owner were to snap at them, don't think I wouldn't pet the shit out of their dog right in front of them and dare their ass to do something to stop me.

WOW, your reply shows you really are a typical entitled brainless millenial parent prick. Even worse than the "lady" in the video as you would use your physical superiority against a person in need of (or training) a guide dog to make your point. This is the mindset of a 12 year old schoolyard bully and would be a great example to your kids.

Anybody would expect dogs to be respectful to children and so should everybody equally teach their kids to be respectful to dogs (or any pet for that matter). It is a simple matter of courtesy and common sense:
If someone asks you or your kid not to touch the animal (and there is no reason at all for them to give a reason or be polite when doing so, which is what your peer got agitated about), the reply shold be "OK, sorry, no problem." Not an argument, or worse, being a bully. There usually are very good reasons why the dog should not be touched.

Your kid running towards a dog to pet or "greet" them would actually be one the few incidents where a slap on the wrist would be an adequate response (of course in order to avoid rather than to punish after the event), equally it would be adequate to physically restrain the dog when they want to lick or jump on a child.

It is amazing that this actually needs to be pointed out to people.

I knew this being about doggies would make it easy to get your goat.

I'm not surprised by your response in the least.  My favorite part is how you completely ignore the context in which I would pet the shit out of a service dog and instead make up some bullshit scenario in order to justify your faux outrage.

Well snowflake, you don't get that nobody (adult or child) is entitled to manhandle any dog and that handlers actually have the right and are sometimes obligated to react in such a situation (be it verbally or even physically*).

You being so selfabsorbed in hating your favourite stereotypes inhibits your ability to analyse the situation, probably you haven't even listened to what is said in the video.
Your reaction just shows (again) how little respect you have for other people, especially if you don't (want to) understand what is going on.

Edit: the worst thing about this is that I actually think your initial response was quite a bit more honest than you want to make us believe and I honestly do think you would go to an elderly lady training an aid dog and act in the way you described if her "entitled behaviour" somehow triggered you. OTOH I doubt you would try that shit with me.

* Any dog handler is "entitled" to warn off or physically restrain you or your child to touch their dog (working dog or not) if they feel they have to, they may be working, sick, injured, fearful or easily startled and thus react in an averse fashion. A blind or disabled person can't. You (and your peer in the video) don't have ANY entitlement to make a fuss about this, just say sorry (or don't) and move on. So teaching your kids has nothing to do with entitlement but with common sense and respect to other people. The world is not a petting zoo.
