That's what I was thinking - I understand adrenaline, but there are transition points that go unrecognized by everyone in attendance at these things and I can't figure out whether it's the training or general cowardice. Is no one there willing to risk injury to save a mentally ill person's life after they've been shot several times (also, did she cut her own stomach open?) and have guts hanging out?
