Why on earth would anyone want to use cassettes these days? It is not even auto reverse! Even more caffling than the "vinyl trend"!

There were people I knew back in the day that swore a cassette car deck had better bass than a CD car deck. to this day, this has not been confirmed by any factual data. Can anybody validate such a claim?

It hasn't. They probably think this i the case because cassete has less treble or the amplifier was set to more bass.
Same myth goes for Vinyl "sounds better" than CD or mp3. If we want "vinyl sound" on digital media we just need to record it from a record player.

Anything sound related is highly subjective!
