Pulled over for doing 88 in a 75 zone... Is this normal?

they're talking mph. so thats someone going 140km/h, 20 over the speed limit. its kind of normal. sometimes 20 over is ok, other days its not. depends on the day

get the DL, insurance, and CC license out before he walks up. when he asks for your license, hand him the CC along with it. That tells him you're armed and legal without saying a word. I've never once had to say "I'm armed" or "I have a gun" when being pulled over.

I hear you, but usually the cc license would be on your person. Plus, if the patrolman is having a bad enough day, seeing the vehicle occupant (out of the back window) lean across the cabin and fumble with the contents of the glove box might put him on edge. Best thing is to have both hands on the steering wheel (or roll down the window and rest both hands on the edge of the window frame if you're young and black in LA / yes, that's still the world we live in, sadly) and politely follow instruction. The driver in the video communicates intention perfectly. And it didn't hurt that his passenger's mouth was stuffed with cotton balls so that she wasn't constantly mouthing-off at the officer, escalating the situation.
