As a kid I used to watch him captain the Pakistan cricket team. He seems pretty genuine. He's been advocating for peace & stability for years. It's no coincidence peace talks with Taliban are happening. He release Mullah Baradar, the more moderate Taliban co-founder, from Pakistan prison in October last year & now Baradar is heading the peace negotiations with the US.

Seems interesting. There's a Schwarzenegger-like practicality to his statements. Hopefully he's a force for change and good. As always, time will tell.
