Sculpting Deet - The Dark Crystal, Age of Resistance - In Timelapse

Here's my latest piece, Deet!   If you fellas haven't seen the Dark Crystal prequel on Netflix yet, go after it.  I'm so relieved that practical effects are being given such a centre platform again.  The artistry in the show is absolutely outstanding.  It's so damn enchanting that it's hard to follow the story because your eyes are just constantly being preoccupied with examining the beauty of the world they created.     Anyways, if you fellas have any questions about the process/construction of the sculpture, feel free to ask.  Hope you like the work and thanks for givin' it a looksee. - N

It's great, ain't it?  Just pure magic.  I'd like to do more of the characters, just need a bump in the views to help pay for it.  She cost me hundreds in supplies (platinum silicone ain't cheap).   A real joy to make her.  Brings me some peace when I make the fun, enchanting characters.  That horror stuff can really start to wear you down.

fantastic man. I've always been a huge JH fan and watched the Dark Crystal every day as a kid. it was the only movie we had on vhs. I still have it memorized. I'm slowly working through the new series so as to enjoy it rather than binge, but I'm loving it.

Same here!  The Storyteller is a brilliant one if you've not seen it yet.  Really brings me back, every time.  I'm also taking my time with the new Dark Crystal.  Savouring it :)    And thank you for the kind words!  I hope to do more of these in the future.  They're wonderful fun to make.

I just saw a trailer for this on netlfix. It looks amazing but so cliche script and storyline.

It's a very unusual mix of pure innocent fantasy, and some seriously disturbing incidents.  I don't want to spoil it, but all that innocence actually makes for a harsh twist when something horrible happens.  Like "look at this cute character.  Oh my holy christ, what are they doing to her?!"    Give it a go - at the very least you'll be mesmerized by the amazing scenery they created.
