The establishment types are fighting for their lives. They are much more willing to do anything to stop populist politicians from taking power and fucking up their game.

yep, and now i think about it i guess the media getting so far in on it shouldn't surprise me. people don't buy newspapers anymore and broadcast tv viewership and revenue is way down also, so it makes sense they'd become propaganda outlets, printing whatever the people paying them want them to. still there really should have to be a bold "sponsored article" written at the top of stuff like this that is undeniably contrived and not true reporting.
