All right I got 7.30 min in, so im not sure if they covered this, but how do they propose on protecting the crew and passengers from radiation? Also, how the fuck would a nuclear power plant even work on a plane?

you protect the crew with shielding which is why everyone canceled the projects.. the nuclear power plant only generates power. boils water that turns to steam that spins a turbin thats connected to a generator which puts out the juice. at the time. the plants wouldnt have been what was turning the propellers. those would have still been running on diesel engines

They should try a massive plane like that, but with solar and batteries only.
Then at night - fly up jumbo jets with a nuclear rechargers aboard them. (+some precharged batteries on the jumbos for a quick refill).

you can shield them. soviets built the tupolev and flew it for 4 years. nuclear powered. used steel plates and chemestry to shield them. the invetion missles negated them.
