People I know that are pro mandate and were vehemiently pro Trudeau now no longer trust him.
The reversal to the "Mix truth with lies" communication strategy is once people become suspicious of your agenda you can't rope them back in.
As disturbing as his language is getting, this is good news. His strategy will backfire from this point on.

Yes what a fool - you can't start up attrocity rhetoric until you have complete and utter control of all sources of media, all sources of information. He can't even competently execute fascism.

In a way. It's more of a clue that he's lost control.
The great awakening is reaching critical mass levels globally.
He is trying to counter it with associating the people with nasty labels he spent his whole political career propping up.
He has now reached a point where his only options left are Use the military to enforce, or when the citizens rally against him accuse them of crimes.
On the pandemic front, what I believe he will do is try to extend the passports to grocery store acesss. Which is a bad idea because that will make the masses of all walks desperate and angry. I believe he will also try to crush the populists politically with extending the passports to voting. Which is also a bad idea, because then people will have less reason to listen to anyone holding office.
I think "lockstep" is slowly heading towards checkmate.

If he extends the passport to grocery stores I would expect mass rioting - I will activate and get really creative if this happens. If he extends the passport to voting I would expect a military coup of some sort to occur.

I wouldn't count on a coup.
At best military would be divided. Maybe one or two officers would be forcefully relieved of command in field by ethical troops. But that would be rare if at all.
The GG is under certain suspicions that are swept under the rug.
Many high ranking officers have been spotted as members of secret societies.
5 officers were accused of crimes and relieved of command last year.
I don't believe many of these abuses would be taking place if the chessboard wasn't already set.
This is the people's movement. I wouldn't count on official support.
