Haidt has always made good arguments in my experience, but his test lacks any context. the first question is "Dan turns up the TV just as his father is talking about his military service. Is this morally OK or not?" which is silly because it depends on what their experience is. Does Dan's dad always go on about his military service and Dan has heard it all before and is tired of hearing about it? Or is this a rare glimpse into his father's younger years that Dan is throwing away in favor of a show he could watch any other time?

Yeah, I was thinking exactly that. There were quite a few questions like this. So whenever I thought more info was needed I voted for a minimum "ok" or "not ok" or neutral level depending on my first "impulse".
But hey, I'll admit it, I'd employ the hotter one! ROFL

6 fields, 36 questions if I remember correctly, so if the distribution is +/- equal about 1/6 of the overall rating will be attributed to each question. So I would say yes.

I object to this line of questioning, like sato said it lacks context. I just looked at the first question and I had many questions before I could fathom my response... I don't really think of things as whether it's 'okay' or not though - that's the part I object to. People do what they do, I don't really judge whether it's 'okay' & I don't like it when people make these kinds of judgements unless using it to form an action. It kinda smacks of moral supremacism.
There's a good political test here (takes 10-15 mins):
I believe it is deliberately supposed to lack context. Whenever something lacked enough context for me to really make a decision I just went completely neutral on the answer. And those were my results.

Just looked at the 1st 10 q's. I was neutral on all, not so much because of context, although it was important in a few, but more because I don't really judge others' morality. I can like or dislike it but I don't tend to say "it's okay" or "it's not okay". It's mainly a problem with the way they've worded the buttons. Reminds me too much of people saying "that's problematic" which is kind of dogmatic.
Interesting to find this out by accident. I actually find it annoying when people do that moral judgement stuff, even though I play that game sometimes, more to relate to people. "Israel's shooting children again, that is not okay" etc. I'd say that it's disgusting, not that it's "not okay".
Maybe I'm just more Christian than most... judge not lest ye be judged ;p
