This is desperation: Biden camp asks for $30M in fundraising appeal to beat Trump's lawsuits https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-30-million-fight-fund-legal

If there is no fraud or problems with the ballots then why does Biden think he needs to "beat" Trumps lawsuits?

A candidate sues the STATE NOT the other candidate! Is that clear enough for ya? So Biden is going to "defend" the States being sued by Trump? Who the fuck is Biden suing? Why does he need a team of lawyers for Trumps lawsuits? Do I have to explain any further how ridiculous this is or how this does not look good for Biden?

trumps not just suing the state, he suing counties, and in some suits its suing people who work in the counties.

in this same world of lawsuits, you can also sue to stop other lawsuits like trump suing to stop people who lost there id from providing proof. thats why biden could use some coins.

https://www.democracydocket.com/ has some of the lawsuits listed, actual legal paperwork

yeah but if they keep getting thrown out because they're baseless then there will never be any legal fees. a court has to accept a case first before anyone requires money for a defense or a counter-suit, and to accept it then there has to be at least some evidence of a person or entity having committed a crime. if there is no chance of there being any evidence then there's nothing to defend or sue to prevent from going forward and no money is needed.

are you telling me that you don't have to pay lawyers?  considering that a lawyer can only practice in the state he's registered for, you need to hire multiple law firms from multiple states. i doubht there doing this pro-bono

Why even wait for the court decision right? You look so foolish trying to precast the outcome of something that's almost a coin toss.

look at the suits that are being filled. one was dismissed a few days ago because they forgot some paper work. they file for mundane reasons that end up getting dismissed, right now, its how long they can delay the inevitable. the big problem they have is that they will, eventually be asking a judge or judges to dismiss thousands upon thousands of votes as way to give the win to trump. its unlikely any judge(s) takes that case.

No Self-Respecting Lawyer Should Touch Trump’s Election-Fraud Claims

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/11/trumps-lawyers-election/617064/

"Rule 3.1 of the American Bar Association’s Model Rules of Professional Conduct—upon which most state bars rely at least in part—stipulates that a lawyer shall not bring an action unless a basis exists in law and fact for doing so. This rule implies that lawyers must do due diligence to inform themselves of the facts of the case and reasonably determine that a good-faith argument can be made in defense of the client’s legal claim. Thats called "frivolous" lawsuits. Just because they are "forgetting" paperwork or are what you think are "mundane" reasons, does not make it frivolous. Let me know when a judge makes that claim. Many states and even the Federal government have law against this. And BTW, the BAR is just basically a good ole' boys club. Whatever they write as their rules is just that. It has no legal standing or anything to do with our courts. Lawyers are in it to make money, if ethics or morals were their guiding light then we'd have a whole different country.

Imagine if you overheard a group talking about how they robbed a bank and got away with but when you go to the police they say "where's your evidence?" and never look into it. Or how about your neighbor who told you he killed his wife but when you go to the police they say "Well, there's no evidence, so we will do nothing about it". Are you ok with that? How about if someone robbed your house and the police say "no evidence, no crime". You cool with that?

Hypotheticals aside, CIVIL lawsuits are a different animal all together then criminal cases. In civil lawsuits you just have to bring up claims that on its face look like it might have happened and a judge grants you a case, THEN you get to ask the other for discovery to prove your case. Most judges side with the government and take the a presumption of innocence for the government almost always. Lawsuits get tossed all the time against the government, doesnt mean they are not valid or have any merit whatsoever, most of the time it just means the judge is crooked.

Confirmation bias and opporunistic piling on of everything and the kitchen sink, 95% of which will turn out to be baseless, is what you should expect to see. You really want Biden to have won really really badly and so you're only going to look for the weakest examples to strawman and/or misinterpret. And while it seems like you're arguing with someone else, you're actually mainly reassuring yourself. Stok is invested just as much. I'm invested in a completely different way from both of you but I try to remain aware of that as I attempt to determine what the fuck is actually going on, which includes accepting that I have no idea what the outcome of this will be.
