regarding the conclusion though, it depends on the doctors. some doctors doing a controlled trial of masks over thousands of surgeries found masks do not work, while a non-controlled study over a short term at some beijing hospitals that suggested masks may help is the one everyone jumps on. and now we're stuck with everyone believing masks will prevent the miasma and covid continues on regardless.

Would you think it would make a difference if all the doctors that participated had a respiratory infection of some sort that is passed over the air?
In other words, to put it bluntly, do you think if a sick person spits in a wound, could possibly cause an infection?
