I think he, like others, may just be catering to a "special" audience that is susceptible to these kind of things. Non scientific antivax, antimask, antiglobalwarming videos etc. get way more views (i.e. money) than scientifically founded stuff. Why not exploit this, his carreer (like crowder's and others') is down the drain anyway, beanyhat and others wouldn't have one in the first place.
