When I was a kid my dad bought me all 3 Rambo movie.
I thought that First Blood sucked ass, Part II was awesome, and 3 was the best shit I've ever seen.
Now it's in the reverse order.

For many of those that are not american the making of puts a whole new perspective on the movie.
When I first saw it (in the german dubbed version of course) I thought it was an excellent action movie but somewhat, hmmmm, superficial as Stallone had the reputation of not being the brightest light in the chandelier.
Only much later when I learned more about the US and their exaggerated patriotism the movie really made sense.

The book is really good.
Read it a few year ago and re-watched the movie after I finished.
Still one of the best action movies ever.

I was gifted the DVD a while ago which had the alternate ending. It struck me as a powerful performance by Stallone but I'm glad they didn't use it.
