Value is determined by supply and demand (or a mismatch thereof) Life (presumably human) is cheap as it is plentyful , 7 billion or so, and there is little or no demand. Money however is always in a shortage, therefore the value of money remains high.

Dead on. Sure, an American life is worth a lot more than many according to the established Value of Statistical Life (VSL), but life is dirt cheap. Let's get the show on the road. There are enough who are willing to sacrifice their lives and the lives of their loved ones or others for money. Fuck it.
