Russian MoD has talked about their strategy - an option they decided not to go with was to just focus on Donbass from the start as Beau's suggesting they should have. They give their reasons, I'm not going into it I'm just here to say this guy's a fraud, making videos about a topic he's not clued in on.

My suggestion would be to evacuate civilians from the Donbas area to Russia. Then they duke it out in the cities and flatten them. Russia gets it's pro-Russians people and gets to keep them as they have nothing to come back to. Problem solved.

many who can get to Russia have but it's not so easy
local paramilitary thugs shoot civies who try to leave in some cities - they know it'd be over for them in days if Russia could take the gloves off. In Mariupol for example, around a week ago nearly 100k civies had fled to Donetsk & Russia after being liberated by pro-Russia forces & less than 100 had fled into inner Ukraine. This was after 3 attempts by Russia to setup human corridors over the space of a week but Mariupol Nazis don't listen to Kyiv & dgaf about civies.
