Let's talk about Putin removing his staff....

there's a claim that a top FSB guy & his aide have been put under house arrest but it's unverified & even if it was true to portray this as a 'purge' is pretty ridiculous. Also sketchy to portray these men as part of the inner circle

What a real purge looks like is when Trudeau has 5 top military brass accused of crimes when toying with idea of martial law, and having the commander in chief demoted by the crown so he can fire her when she demands an investigation into his corruption.

But, of course Beau would never talk about that because Trudeau is his absolute ideal of a demagogic leader.

Putin has very good reason to be suspicious of a "destroy from within" war strattegy and he is taking steps to counteract that. It's kind of the only way to prevent it.

Plus some of his Generals are the ones suggesting "shut your eyes and let us clean this up quickly." While Putin is trying to minimize damage to the country he is siezing.

Where beau "could" be correct, is that Putin will have to be careful as to not be overwhelmed with paranoia during his inquisition.

The claim is that the FSB head of foreign intelligence is under house arrest.

There's obvious gain in claiming making this claim as part of an infowarfare strategy - Putin panicking because Ukraine stronk etc, also it causes Russia to have to react & prove it's not true if they want to put the claim to rest, also not ideal for them.

But if it was true, it could be for a number of reasons & unlikely to be anything to do with Putin shoring up his position in the government. This FSB guy isn't in a position to make those kind of moves. It could be performance related & possibly to do with Ukraine but it could be other things too, suspicion of leaking or something else. Having his aide also suppressed does tend towards a possible leak/collusion kind of thing but we have such little info it's to go on :/

the claim is made by a Russian critic of Russia's intel community & "verified" by an exiled Russian dissident

Beau makes a bunch of assumptions & exaggerates what's already a sketchy story here.

Beau is worse than that. He runs interference on people that are just starting to see establishment hyprocisy. Adresses it and reframes it in a way with a soothing sedative to put people back to sleep.

No doubt a very wicked man.

I have very intelligent friends that see the hypocrisy, but are fine with it because they accept this guys excuses for it.

It's very sad, because they are good people that deserve to see things for what they are so they can start making up their own minds.

I think what Beau's on about is that he really fears American fascism rising & does everything he can to prevent it happening. That's the impression I get from checking out some of his background & watching some of his stuff. His being busted by the feds about a decade ago & serving a pretty short sentence despite his cohorts grassing on him to get themselves off the hook also doesn't sit right. He was thrown under the bus & still didn't serve a very lengthy sentence...now pops up running Democrat Party social media deep cover type shit. Could be organic, I dunno but he's pretty shit on foreign issues IMO.

That fascism was already solidified long ago with Lyndon Johnson putting in some of the biggest pieces. To say it's rising I think is an understatement, more like as it is projecting more power into the citizens life it is now breaking the surface.

But, what most see is only the tip of the iceberg.

Perhaps one upon a time he had a noble cause and may have seen more of what was beneath the surface, but by what you mentioned, they black mailed him and  turned his activism into a weapon for the very fascism he may have once tried to prevent.

It's not just an American problem either. The entire western world has succumbed to it. All the nations just test out slightly different strategies. I think they are collectively fine tuning what works well vs what doesn't work as in what controls people the best with least resistance, so that when the greatest power grabs are inevitably made they will have a well oiled machine to work with.

he was busted way before becoming an influencer, I dunno what the connection is, it's just a bit of fishy background... he rails against a particular brand of fascism in US - the conservative Christian variety & he talks as if Trump being re-elected would spell the end of the US. Quite a hysterical take IMO. Trump's pretty divisive but not some kind of Hitler figure. The Democrat Establishment's more warmongering & imperialist than Trump. Pompeo's not on good terms any more with Trump apparently & if Bolton isn't part of the crew either I don't think it would be so bad. There's more neocons in this current regime than there were under Trump. Fascism's a hard thing to define but I find "scratch a liberal, a fascist bleeds" tends to hold true.

Malcom X had liberals pegged IMO:

Putin is going to go full kim yong un is my bet. I think there is plenty evidence that he was in full paranoia for a while.

Let's hope someone has the balls to take him out.

why would you want Putin to be "taken out"?

Don't get me wrong, I mean taken out in the sense of remove from power, trial and convict (if not found insane).

The problem I see with him is that there is no safety net if he attempts to go full nuclear, in the US if the president would try an insane nuclear strike someone would stop them, with putin I am not so sure.

If the animal is trapped it will react erratically (if I go down I take everything else with me), this is especially true for power addicts like putin, erdogan and also trump!

your very reasoning is why Russia objects to NATO infrastructure on its borders

and in Russia's case they have far more excuse to be thinking that way - just look at all the countries NATO's destroyed in the past 25 years. Putin's a dove compared to NATO and pushing Ukraine into NATO/western sphere as crazy western hawks have been doing is the source of this conflict as much as anything. Now you want to solve the problem by up-ending Russia's ruling class while thier nukes are on high alert. And you call Putin crazy. LOL.

"Putin is going to go full kim yong un is my bet. I think there is plenty evidence that he was in full paranoia for a while.

And you call me insane...

That belief is infested with insanity right there.

There is no evidence he is full on paranoid. There is no evidence "yet" that he will go full totalitarian. That's impossible to know until we see what does with Ukraine and Russia if he wins. Pre emptive action at this point would only rob the world of closure on his true intentions. If he went full maniac after his conquest, we can always take it back.

I'm not even on his side, but I understand this is WAR. During war time everything is on the table, unfair does not exist, and you should trust very little if any information you get about it while it's on going.

With the information you and Sal have been spouting the last few weeks you have embarassed yourselves non stop so far.

My advice that you will refuse but hear anyway, is don't be so quick to take sides. We should have all learned from Iraq and Afghanistan, and we actually had better reason for going into Iraq as at least Sadaam was 10 times more vicious.

What are you on about? To count my submissions on the topic the fingers of one hand would more than suffice.

Also you wouldn't see insane if it hit ya in the face (or if you watched it in the mirror whilst brushing its teeth for that matter).

It's very clear you believe every word from CNN, BBC and other such propoganda.

I'm sure you think Zelensky is stunning and brave using his citizens to protect himself.

Putin = Bad by default because he dares to pre emptively strike against a provacation on his borders before his country is enveloped.

You still can't rationalize why Trump is bad by default besides the news told every body to say so.

The truth is, with Trump he would have called all this crap out with both NATO provacation and prevented the ensueing agressive response. Keystone would be open so you could buy oil here for cheap rather than Europe oscillating between begging Russia, or making their own citizens suffer out of spite.

You might hate Orange man, but the world was stable under his leadership, minus the spassing media and leftist riots of the malcontents.
