Lawyer objects to own question

The attorney wasn't objecting to his own qeustion, he was objecting to the witnesses answer, which is his own fault for not asking it in a way that prevents the witness from introducing hearsay.  Now he doesn't have to say "objection, hearsay", he has the witness, he can just say "we dont want to hear hearsay" and could have just stopped the witness. The other lawyer has to say he objects. A lot of this shit gets worked out behind closed doors and they already know what the witnesses will be saying and not saying, for the most part, thats why the first lawyer objected and the judge already knew where it was going. Its more of falling into a routine and robotically going along and he got de-railed by an objection. This stuff gets tiring and this shit can be really hard. You cant just come out and ask the witness exactly what you want to ask and you cant force them to say what you want to say and if you ask it the wrong way or ask a qeustion and you dont like the answer it is really hard to get the witness to stop or to say it a different way. A lot of that "gotchya" moments and calling them out on a lie is Hollywood shit. This takes a lot of skill and finesse that a lot of attorneys do not have. Plus, this stuff takes months and months to prepare for, thousands of pages of evidence, and this line of questioning goes on for hours and hours, days and days. Almost all good attorneys work for corporations, thats where the money is and thats where the talent goes. What's left is what you get for civil litigation and whats left after that goes for criminal. So this guy would be mid-tier. 

Now really it was the judge that said "you aksed the qeustion", which is not the correct response she should have made, she should have said, it's your witness. Which might very well have been what she meant, but again, she might be exhausted. Trails are really fucking boring and really hard to pay attention to. And the lawyer didnt really make a response to the judge, probably just out of confusion. What a shit show, but really, who fucking cares, this isnt a murder trial or anything, jsut two adults airing their dirty laundry to the world like fucking retards.
