To be fair, no matter what you think of vaccines, not informing parents is quite insane. How do they know the child isn't immunocompromised etc? I feel like there's more to this story.

Quite right, there are parents who know about immunocompromised conditions and should be consulted, do you think in this case we have an informed intelligent parent capable of making a reasoned choice for the welfare of a child.

This happened at my school when i was a kid, they gave anti lice injections with no contact of the parents they gave them, i saw a pattern in who acctualy got them

not much to the story. school gives notice of a mandatory flu shot to bring home. kid doesnt bring it home. kid gets the flu shot the next day. just like canadian schools during the mid 90's. mandatory hep b shot. either you got the shot on the day it was happening or you didnt send the kid to school anymore
those with compromised immune systems have nothing to fear from flu shots and other vaccines. people with aids get the same shots as everybody else. side effects are extremely rare.
