Spain's solar energy crisis: 62,000 people bankrupt after investing in solar panels • FRANCE 24

I am just now in the process of installing panels on my roof. costs 10k€, 2.7k€ subsidised by the govt, IF funds don't run out before my contractor applies.

NEVER EVER include govt funding when calculating amortisation for your investments, if you can't afford it without don't fucking do it.

Should be so simple....

Most people I know dont include the energy companies delivery fees when they are calculating how much they will make. Those fees can be just as much or more to the cost of the fuels or electricity. Also, those systems turn off when the grid goes out, to prevent back feeding powerlines and shocking linemen working on them. In the end, you are paying to be little solar plants for the power companies. I might get a setup but will be on a battery bank not tied in. I got a nice little creek in the backyard with a steep decline, been thinking about tapping that for a while now. Problem is it dries up in the summer. I guess in time for solar panels! :)

now should be a great time to build some overseas electric wires and uppgrade infrastructure? ..... Most of Europe was rammed in the ass this winter due to lack of electricity and/or shitty infrastructure. Our contry's grid is split in two, north and south. North just sharing energy with only sweeden i think, south With GB and Germany. In the south peak and new record 0.74US dollar KW/h ... North: 0.023 US dorrah KW/h. Electricity is entirely green to boot, wonder what part of the country is about to f... lose their shit? This was before ze war, when it was cold af everywhere.

We essentially had free energy until we buildt those f.. powerlines to Europe..... but a LOT of money left on the table So why not sell some???!!.... ohhhhh wait you mean we have to pay for our electricity cause we're on the euro grid,  can i have a do over please! Anyways, figured out a way for power companies to send the bill to the goverment when prices go over 0.068KW/h USD.

You think these things trough before you commit to somthing as big as having so much green energy it's practically worth nothing. You connect to the Euro grid and make BANK! Just don't do the same bs we did =)

Germany has a similar problem, they built lots of wind turbines in the north without having the infrastructure to distribute it to the south, now they sell it for dumping prices to the dutch.
