One of the reasons I hate going to indoor ranges in California, they are fucking dangerous. There seem to be far more holes through the ceiling and booth counter than usual out here. That and you get a lot of foreign nationals, mostly Asian from what I've seen, that are so excited they spend more time trying to film themselves shooting on their phones with the gun in one hand and the phone in the other. Just looking at them you get the impression that this is the first time holding, let alone firing a gun, and besides the 5 minute spiel the rangemasters give them about firearm safety--which they may or may not even understand--they are most likely very unprepared to be firing a gun around other people without 1 on 1 instruction. Last time I went to a range there were probably 3 or 4 upper class Chinese college kids with a rented 1911 and an Iphone filming and giggling in the booth next to me; 1911's have very light single action triggers and I could imagine an FMJ going through the booth and hitting me.
I'm unsure of the construction of those shooting stalls, hopefully they have some ballistic protection built inbetween the walls.

I have 2 nickleplated 1911's the best handguns on the market, besides Baretta the grip of the Baretta is just not good but the gun is well built.

There is literally no other point in specifying that he hates going to californian gun ranges than to say that the gun ranges SPECIFICALLY IN CALIFORNIA are full of people who are fucking horridly irresponsible people. He even mentions that they are people from overseas you fucking moron so there is no point in the talking shit about "Educating" when they think an instagram shot is more important than gun safety. Do you not understand that there is going to be people who do stupid shit in a free society? You are right, some people are not responsible when it comes to firearms. To make that statement and then claim "therefore gun control" (which I'm aware you didn't state outright but others have) is a non-sequiter.
In 2013 there were 505 deaths due to accidental or negligent discharge of a firearm. In a nation of 80+ million gun owners I'd say that makes the VAST, OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of gun owners more that trustworth when it comes to firearm ownership.

Guns are here to stay. I have them. I just try to keep the amount of time I spend around large groups of people to a minimum-within reason, and have a lower exposure to the psycho element which unfortunately is made up of a small percentage of stupid gun owners.
