Half-Life: Alyx - Review

I'm disappointed that you can't just grab a long blunt object in HL:Alyx to beat up a headcrab with, or grab it and swing it against a hard surface to kill it. I really thought this would have been possible in that game.

 

This kinda takes away from the technical leap HL Alyx was supposed to be, especially knowing that another game already offers this kind of interaction.

Yeah, when you think about it, it's kind of a step back from HL2. Everything was a weapon with the gravity gun. I'm guessing they did this to simplify things and make it really polished. Like in Boneworks where everything is physics-based it creates a lot of potential for glitching and not so seamless gameplay.  

 

Thinking of going with the Rift S.  Everyone keeps saying it works just fine with Alyx. $500 bucks cheaper than the Index.

This looks pretty cool. Might have to get a VR setup soon. I want to see the arms tho.
