This pales in comparison to the damage done to historic sites in Iraq & Syria.

The artwork & archeological sites from the dawn of modern civilisation are irreplacable. This 850yo cathedral is impressive but historically it's not as significant. It's also just 1 building, compared to thousands of artifacts & historic sites in the Middle East that have been looted/destroyed.

Panty, except no, some of the most beautiful, literally oldest churches in the world were destroyed by ISIS in Iraq and Assyria.. And they're more impressive than you think..

With all the church burnings in France lately, it's pretty obvious what Notre Dame is..

Destroying ancient artifacts is a popular thing.
