Frampton Went to the Moon

Reflection in a Visor. Where's the reflection of the camera taking the photo?

This is, for some reason, getting international coverage - major newspapers and television outlets from Newsweek to Fox and CNN are ridicu...reporting on it. *shrug*.

Theres one of a spacewalk showing what appears to be an all black scuba suit instead of a space suit in the reflection in the same manner. It's also a video and probably easy to google. Kinda reminds me of those chinese spacewalks that had "bubbles" floating towards the surface and leaking from doors, even though it was supposed to be in space and not an underwater set.

Really? It might be a stagehand sure. Or it's the other astronaut and the picture is taken with a... What's it called when a camera takes a picture on a timer? That kinda thing. The fact why I entertain the notion that it might be someone else than the other astronaut is the odd difference between the figure and its shadow. It seems like the packback of the astronaut should be visible from that angle on the figure as well as the shadow.

Unless there's an official story behind this picture that I'm not aware of and the picture was taken by the other astronaut.

Also, the cameras the astronauts took pictures of themselves with were fixed to their chests pointing forward. There are many "visor shots" where you can see the other astronaut taking the picture, and of course the other astronaut is always directly facing the reflection. But not this dude - I'm surprised the debate is even over whether he's a space dude or a stage hand. I would have thought to debunk this people would be arguing that it's not a person at all, but an optical anomaly that merely looks like a person. Very surprised.

Just a thought. Maybe the people at NASA noticed the odd shape in the visor way back when and added the shadow to it in order to make it look like an astronaut 'just in case' someone started to say something about aliens so they could just say 'it's an astronaut, look at the shadow'. Then they forgot in the fashion such things are forgotten, the people involved died or became senile or are out of the loop just enough to not get asked about it.

Maybe it's an actual moon-man. *shrug*

If it is some dude, I think it more likely that Kubrick really did shoot a few things for PR reasons, and those things were used because they looked good even though they did in fact go to the moon, and perhaps they were used becaues the astronauts were doing classified things on the moon for periods of time and they needed "fill" to account for those gaps.

That sounds very plausible.
