Disagree that these phones don't have a real world application.
I actually thought that Samsung had two screens that when opening join together by a smart mechanism. A bending plastic screen I would not consider buying.

I'm waiting for this technology to evolve to a flexible screen that could be applied to all kinds of things. A pen that has a pull out screen or arm band etc. Shit that stiffens when current is run through it. All that nano goodness we will just barely get to live to see.

Why does the whole phone industry keeps insisting in making those ever so more impractically large phones at every generation? Even folded this phone is way too big to fit comfortably and safely in a pocket.
What they've made here is once again huge phone that is too big to be practical to carry and that when unfolded becomes a tiny tablet with an aspect ratio that is too square to be really fully usable with most apps. I wish that they would finally pull their heads out of their asses and make a highly functional, large screened phone that would fold to become the size of a wallet. That would be truly revolutionary and an intelligent use of the new technology for once.
