been thinking about things. like, what it takes to get a country to capitulate during war. looking at some recent wars. it seems like a lot. i'm also thinking about how many people die after surrender has happened and how many people get displaced. which makes me think about what it costs to take in a refuge. for the ones that crossed into canada in 2019-2020. it was 10k US per person, 28k+ people, 300 million US, that just to get them in. were not taking legacy cost to help them get assimilated. ukraines got over 40 million people. if they surrender, how many of them die and how many of them flee to the west. which raises other issues of not having facilities to house a vast amount of people. which will more than likely increase the cost. i'm thinking, by the numbers. its cheaper to support ukraine then to let them be overtaken by a long shot
