Gustavo has a kind, gentle manner about him and projects a calm confidence of competence that makes me want his approval. 

 

The asshat who made this post? Gustavo would never find this person to be "acceptable". Forgetting to include the final and most important employee training video shows a degree of carelessness that would make such a person unsuitable for employment with Los Pollos Hermanos.

I worked for a chef that demanded that level of perfection. 

 

He was not nice about it.

 

But, he could out perform every single person under his employ.

 

He was also the kind of chef that would not even yeild to picky customers, because every plate he served was PERFECT. He watched every single plate with microscope vision. He chastised his staff for even making an inefficient movement during service. If you reached for a salt shaker and returned your hand without one (Because last time you left it somewhere else.) He made sure you never made a mindless movement again.

 

He was also the type that wouldn't tell you what you did wrong. He would just tell you it was wrong. You had to figure it out. Like Gus.

 

One customer ordered the house burger that came with portbello mushrooms. They didn't like mushrooms so they asked for the burger without it.

 

They got the burger with mushrooms. Their complaint was not acknowledged.

 

The owner yelled at him for the complaint. The chef left. The restaurant was never that good again.
