WandaVision | Episode 5 Promo 2 | Disney+

Here's hoping the adults can turn that Disney ship around.

I love how they switch up the aspect ratio to show you when they're in Wanda's fabricated reality vs back in the Marvel cinematic universe.

i've been watching it but i don't care for it. House Of M is a better read.

Does the fact that there's no intersectional critical theory analysis within each episode of the time frame they're representing bother you at all?

What Marvel has done with this concept is genuinely brave and they seem to understand the level of detail and work that must go in to pulling something like this off. This is the first time marvel has taken a product they own from being competently and even impressively managed to bordering on genuine art. Meaningful art.

Nope - never collected or read them. Although I DO understand that medium has traditionally been much more open to crazy experimental ideas that spark philosophical thought. There's a LOT you can do with fantasy to explore scenarios that would otherwise be unavailable in reality. So if you're into comics then it likely follows that you are familiar with a broader range of concepts and scenarios that make what Wandavision is presenting seem careful and tame in comparison. To me, consuming comic-book reality in movie and TV form only, what they are doing is risky and the fact that they know how to pull it off is impressive.

comics are just like novels. the tv or movie adaption of them is not going to compare.

you got 4 episodes of wanda vision, i'll tell you stuff  the comics did to lead up to its "wandavision". a dead avenger returns to life only to blow up when greeting the other avengers. right after that, the vision slams a quinjet into them followed up by a kree invasion, hawkeye along with a bunch of others die. they figure out its wanda, they go after her and she changes reality to where she's royalty along with her father magneto and quicksilver. eventually a people start waking up and realizing whats going on, they start a rebellion and go after wanda again. avengers fight the xmen over her, she snaps and whispers out, no more mutants. killing off 80% of them and she disapears to where she's now has twins with hawkeye who's alive again.

they can only do so much, i accpeted that. i'll watch it but it could be so much better.

I saw some YouTube vids that went over the comic-book version at a high level. Quicksilver is confirmed for the series, but he will be played by the guy from X-Men. Based on leaks at some point Nick Fury gets pulled into her universe. Yeah they will probably do a lower impact version of the more complex version you outline above.
