Apparently some Wall St. gamblers who shorted Tesla stock are sueing him because the stock rose 6% when he made this announcement.

It went beyond the $420 tweet, he claimed it was legit & he has the backers to go private when people asked him if it was a joke. He's CEO of a public company & subject to SEC regulations. I have no idea of much beyond that.

According to the allegation. "I am CONSIDERING taking Tesla private at $420 (With) Funding secured."

 

I believe it was a legit CONSIDERATION.  And that he would not go private until he had finacial backers.
