Well, no. It is his opinion based on selective listening of what he (and his afficionados) likes to hear. The experts made predicitions (and they still do) based on past experience and now also on information gathered in various applicable studies. There are still uncertainties, of course but it is a novel situation. The US would be way fuerther advanced in fighting the virus if a certain smpotus had not removed the pandemic experts to save cost.
Not one real expert actually said what the smpotus likes to repeat. The man has one of the leading experts on his side and still constantly needs to be corrected.
