Driving in China

not really surprised, china is a free-for-all kind of culture. people don't line up, don't take care of communal property, and don't consider others at all even going so far as to take something they need right out of someone else's hand because "i need that". they only think about what they can do, not what they should or shouldn't do.

Why do people drive so badly in China?

Because they're Asian and half of them are female. Duh!

A friend from Hong Kong told me a long time ago two things, 1) when you see chinese people driving in other countries as adults, it's likely that they never drove much in China and 2) many chinese people have a very tight sense of proximity due to being in a lot of crowds and this makes it difficult for them to get in a vehicle and extend their preception for a vehicle. With that said, I would not say I have even any statistical evidence on the %s that are bad drivers...
