I wonder if he specifically edited out all the big trucks with trump flags waiting in that line for socialized food distribution for families impacted by covid. I'm confused. so is this a good thing? or a bad thing? is it good that the government can step in and help when people are displaced by disasters or lose their jobs due to a pandemic? or is it bad because it's socialism?

I doubt it is government handing out food. Most of this is non-profits taking donations from for profit corporations and supermarkets as they get much needed tax write offs. Its bad that people have to resort to getting free food, its good that the system works to be able to provide the food to give out. If the government stepped out of the way and stopped taxing the shit out of everyone we wouldnt need to have people in food lines! Government shut down the businesses that employed these people, then hold the tax money they stole from the people over their heads for political gains! Capitalism has many pros, yes it has cons, but it works. The main problem is that government gets involved and fucks up the free market.
