Rather than get to work, seems like there's a little bitch around here crying over the new points system.
Made me think of this song. I don't know if it will work, but the new points system appears specifically designed to discourage mindless gang-voting based on a disrespect for the site, making it much harder to blindly promote a particular user or "topic tone". You have to get 500 points to comment, and to get there the rest of the community must generally approve of your submissions. Mindlessly spamming the site with posts won't get you there quickly because the 10 ratings in 12 hours rule incentivizes new users to rate videos. Videos rated off the site net you -20 points, which means you would need 100 crap spam posts just to get to 500 points if the rating incentive works. Not to mention the fact that you lose 2 points for voting on comments, and there are prizes for points, making points much more of a currency now.
Like I said I don't know if it will work but it's an interesting approach. Separately, there may be a bug with the points system - some of us have reached 500 and can't comment. The site is new - they'll figure it out. Now shut up and get to work.
