I've seen stories that suggest that an analysis of the genetic makeup of this paricular cornoavirus indicate it is most likely engineered or lab-created (a bioweapon). There just so happens to be a coronavirus lab in the city that is ground zero for this epidemic. Because of this disease, many companies who rely on China to produce their goods have had to delay or suspend their products as factories in Wuhan shut down. I can't imagine that China would purposely do something that would undermine their most valuable quality (their manufacturing industry), so I suspect what is happening is completely accidental. They are lying about the severity of the outbreak, but it's not because they are cleansing their population of dissidents. It's because it's a fuckup of their own making, and it has the potential to fuck up their economy and bring them scorn for getting other countries throughout the world infected with their bullshit.

I've seen no proof that this was a lab-created virus, just some coincidences. It may have escaped from a Chinese lab & it may have come from a Western lab & been released deliberately to coincide with Spring Festival in the main transport hub of the country. It also may have occurred naturally & been captured by biologists & done either of the above. As a tactic, a release like this does fit the current US strategy of delaying the inevitable. If there was human involvement in the outbreak we'll never know - PRC would never admit that this came from either their own lab or from a bio-attack. Personally I find it more likely that it was a bio-attack than an accident but I don't entertain these ideas much because we'll never know so it doesn't really matter.
Pangolins are the most likely source from what's known so far. They're are not really consumed in Hubei, more of a Cantonese & SEAsia thing, so it's a bit strange it broke out there.
The economic ramifications are short term. Mostly Q1 & a bit of Q2. They're going to be felt around the world but mostly in China. If this hadn't been contained to Hubei the ramifications would be much more severe - manufacturing leaving China etc.

It's true though - there can be a 1 day time difference in reports from East & West. A lot of articles just give date without time. I deal with this all the time as someone in NZ (GMT +13).
Using this as a reason to question the objectivity of the video shows your own bias & lack of comprehension.
