holy crap chris harris is boring...

 

also i don't buy his arguments here, seem pretty thin. the battery needed cooling because it was run over spec, which is no different from if you could turn off a standard car's engine controls to let it run over redline. in normal running, even near-peak performance it has no heat issues. then the bit about one-trick pony... that's just silly, it's a very comfortable, quite spacious saloon car, that also happens to accelerate really fast. it's just the same as if you bought the 9-11 and then complained it was useless at picking somebody up from the airport and that just being able to go round a racetrack fast made it a one trick pony.

First time I heard that the thing needs to heat up for 10 minutes before idiot mode is possible.

 

Also you don't run a combustion engine "over spec" other than in race series.

 

911's are a bad example for "bad day to day versatility" as they are very good actually, especially compared to other sportscars, especially as far as luggage is concerned. But I agree a fairer comparison would have been the Panamera GTS or turbo.
