How about this - the probability is high that you will see people submit to much worse than this, and then afterwards they will brag about how well they obeyed while comparing their compliance to the compliance of those around them, being sure to report anyone that doesn't obey as well as they did. You don't think so? It's happening with masks right now - you take your shoes off at the airport? Yeah, you do. What are you willing to live without to spare yourself humiliation and subjugation? I think the answer to that, in general, is not much for at least half the pop.
