I remember reading an article from a US military analyst talking about how the main reason you would see North Korean military parades all the time was because they couldnt actually fight worth a damn and it was the only real way to keep them disciplined. I wonder if thats the case here.

Aircraft carriers aren't for fighting they're for projecting power. In a real fight they're not much use. Submarines, missiles etc all trump those things.
