HRW is an NGO backed by the US government - a government who's weaponised a global pandemic against Iran & kills the most vulnerable people in foreign countries with "tough sanctions" - aka financial terrorism. These sanctions prevent the health systems of those countries from functioning properly, depriving thousands each year from their most basic human right - the right to live.
Not to mention the regime change wars on Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq... this is just in the past 2 decades. Or the propping up of 73% of the world's dicators, including the most brutal among them. Or the military, financial & absolute political support for Apartheid Israel.
The picture at home isn't too pretty either. A plutocracy that's just getting worse that poses as a democracy, widespread drug abuse, 0.5% of the people holding 99% of the wealth, 25% of the world's prison population with only 5% of the world's population, regular mass shootings, rampant hate crime,
When will HRW stop playing favourites & look objectively at the atrocious human rights record of the US?
